Background
Ridiculously delicious candy concocted caramel apples. Simple as that. That’s what Apple Melt specializes in. These treats are not only incredible to look at but are also absolutely delicious. So much that they are known world-wide for their melted caramel goodness.

Objective
Working with our sister company SOIL, we were tasked to create an environment that spoke the brand of Apple Melt not only inside the storefront, but online as well. That’s where we come into play. Creating the digital world of Apple Melt so that the ‘OPEN’ sign never has to turn off. Through a world of media we can create an online atmosphere that nearly feels as if you’re at Apple Melt, except without the delicious smells of course.

Strategy
Our DEFCON creative teams strategized on how we could be represent the brand of Apple Melt in an online digital world. Using our vertically integrated content system, we are able to create a surplus of advertising and marketing material that Apple Melt can use for social media. This would allow them to have a fresh image of their brand and be relevant in what they are creating at their storefront. We would need video + photo content to begin creating the Apple Melt content vault.

Product Photoshoot
The DEFCON production team traveled to Apple Melt to begin production process of our content creation. To start, we’d begin with capturing the photo content that we would be needing for social media and website use. We start with the photo content because this helps us gain an understanding of the product we are working with to ensure we know how to best capture it.

Production
Once the DEFCON photography team was able to capture their content to being building the Apple Melt content vault, our production team was then ready to begin working on the pre-production process for the Apple Melt video production. After strategizing on how to best showcase the Apple Melt products, the video production team traveled to Apple Melt to begin filming the video advertising commercial. Capturing the different apples and the creation process, we were able to begin producing the video commercials back at our editing studio.
